Meet some of the team
"My role is to help keep projects running smoothly between the Client and creative teams. Day to day that means managing timelines and budgets, and making sure deadlines are met. I also spend a lot of time on content management systems (CMS), helping to build and update websites, so there's a nice mix of creative and technical work.
I didn't need a specific qualification for this role, it was more about showing the experience I had gained since I left college, Some people come in straight from college or uni or completely different industries. the agency looks for people who are proactive, good communicators an comfortable working as a team.
There's always something happening which makes the job exciting. It's great being surrounded by like-minded people within my team but also creating relationships with creative people who genuinely care about doing really awesome work. It can feel a little intense at first, but you soon fit in once you find your rhythm.
It's a very sociable environment. there are often team catch-ups or social activities to take part in, Bray Leino also offer great learning opportunities like training sessions, courses and mentoring programmes. It's fun working in an industry where enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork will help you develop in your career."

Be curious, proactive and don't be afraid to ask questions. You won't know everything from day one, but show willingness to learn and get stuck in!
Kate Howe
Account Executive
"I have a degree in Graphic Design but struggled to get a job in the industry when I first graduated as I didn't drive, and needed financial stability in order to find a role in the city away from family. I started my career in administration and account management roles, but as luck would have it, these roles were very well suited to how my ADHD brain works best!
I started at Bray Leino as an Account Executive, worked my way up to Account Manager before making a sideways move to join the studio team when I returned from maternity leave.
A typical day in my role is spent supporting the studio team. We ensure creative files are set up correctly and are based on brand guidelines ready for printing. As a junior member of the team, I typically work with smaller tasks, which is critical to getting work back to Clients quickly.
I spend most of my time using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I also regularly use Figma for digital design. My role is very dependent on my proficiency with industry standard software and ability to learn new things.
I love having a day that is scheduled, I know I can switch off after work and the tasks a day at a time! Having a hybrid schedule is also great for work-life balance and mental wellbeing."

My advice to anyone thinking about a creative role would be to do as many relevant software tutorials as possible, and experiment with free versions of software, such as Figma.
