About the Role...
The Media Manager is a key client-facing role responsible for developing and delivering media strategies and plans that support clients' communications objectives and business goals. As a trusted media partner, you will work closely with clients, media owners and colleagues across the agency to create integrated campaigns that deliver measurable results.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships, contribute strategic thinking and help clients navigate an evolving media landscape. Working collaboratively with specialists across the agency, you will play an important role in shaping effective media solutions and ensuring campaigns are delivered successfully across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
Build trusted and credible relationships with key client personnel as the primary media point of contact.
Keep B2B & B2C clients informed on the evolving media landscape and identify new opportunities for their campaigns.
Communicate deliverables, progress, and timelines effectively to clients, colleagues and third parties.
Manage any serious client-related issues, escalating to the Associate Media Director when necessary.
Strategy & Planning
Develop a deep understanding of client business, products, markets, and audiences.
Challenge and refine briefs, assisting clients in setting media goals and objectives.
Lead the development of media communication strategies, applying appropriate strategic or tactical solutions seeking support where required.
Research and appraise media opportunities in both B2B and B2C Environments
Ensure media strategies align with creative and strategic outputs for fully integrated campaigns.
Campaign Implementation & Performance Management
Build and execute media plans based on client objectives.
When buying, secure the most competitive media rates and ensure campaigns are delivered as agreed.
Accurately communicate creative specs and deadlines to stakeholders within Bray Leino and third-party creative agencies where necessary.
Monitor and assess media and ROI performance, using insights to drive effectiveness, working with the HO Measurement & Effectiveness where appropriate.
Stakeholder & Team Management
Maintain strong relationships with media owners, gathering market intelligence and resolving issues where required.
Contribute to new business tenders and pitches.
Train, manage, and appraise any direct reports in line with company development framework.
Operational & Administrative Management
Ensure accurate administration of client billing and timely completion of timesheets and all other administration.
About the Person…
We are looking for a media professional with strong analytical, communication and relationship-building skills. You will be confident using data and insights to develop recommendations, evaluate campaign performance and support effective media planning. The ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and media partners, while presenting ideas clearly and confidently, is key to success in this role.
You will have a solid understanding of media planning, industry best practice and measurement approaches, with experience across a range of media channels. Familiarity with Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic and audience planning tools such as TGI, Touchpoints, YouGov, Telmar or Nielsen Ad Intel would be beneficial.
